What did we do?

As the brand’s primary online resource it was vital that the Woodhouse story was told throughout their website. By working closely with their web development team we designed a number of simple, stylish and user-friendly website design layouts that made for a much more visually appealing and enjoyable user experience. Having to deal with a complicated structure of products, brands and editorials meant we really needed to simplify the page layouts as much as possible, so to provide maximum exposure of the content and the products on offer.

The success of our initial core brand elements meant we were all very clear about how the site should ‘feel’ so keeping it simple was the aim of the game. The warm colour palette allowed us to soften navigation elements but maintain the stylish edge of the content whilst the consistent use of gritty urban fashion imagery provides the injection of style and aspirational essence that the site needed.

Long lists of products or categories can often be unsettling and lead to a potential loss of sale, so we suggested supporting the primary navigation with a visual brand list, after all consumers identify with their favourite brand logos, right? 

What did we achieve?

A clean, easy to navigate site that offers a warm, welcoming, gritty and stylish visual presence was everything we could ask for in a website design. Building an open working relationship with the Woodhouse family made for a project that inspired the new brand and made everyone involved very proud to be associated with it.

We delivered an experience that stops the customer in their tracks and invites them to sit back, relax and take a look around. It's a little like the intriguing 'Ollivanders Wand Shop' in Harry Potter, only full of lovely clothes and without the hassle of a sales guy on your back.

For the customer? A far deeper engagement with the new brand means that old and new customers spend more; both time and their hard-earned pennies, with Woodhouse. Plus, the new brand style has built significant confidence in exisiting customers and has inspired customers to refer others to sign up for a touch of Woodhouse magic.
