Novus Property Solutions - naming the brand

What did we do?

Naming a brand, especially one that has an established reputation under a different and successful guise is a difficult process. It can be an emotional process and so a definite strategy is an absolute necessity. Seddon Property Services (as it was) has flourished under it previous mantle across its 30 nationwide offices, but as the parent company has restructured, they felt it necessary to move forwards with a whole new approach.

Seddon held their own internal workshops and came to us with an extensive selection of possibilities. We made it our mission to really understand what Seddon were about, their culture, their people, the environment they work in, their history and their desires for the future. We used this understanding and their list and used a partisan approach to run our own workshops to select a new name that is absolutely right for the brand.

What did we achieve?

Through careful thought, consideration and planning we helped Seddon to choose their new name – the right name. Any brand name is a statement of intent and by working together with the team at Seddon and really listening to their requirements we achieved the creation of a new brand that the whole team is genuinely excited and enthusiastic about. Renaming a brand can be a daunting task, perceived as a nuisance. Where to begin? How to decide what will work? How to guarantee that employees and clients will believe in it? What sort of name will work across brand collateral? These are just a few valid and pertinent questions that always arise when we help to name a brand and that we consider and plan a strategy around.

We believe in keeping names (where possible) short, straightforward and to the point. Now the work begins to really establish Novus Property Solutions as the new Seddon Property Services through branding collateral, logo design and every element that makes up a successful and well-loved initiative.
