We’ve been really fortunate to have worked with 2ergo on numerous branding projects. They loved our initial work and returned to the fold having recognised that their brand needed some further development and knowing that we could deliver exactly what was required. 2ergo is renowned for best quality service and style but had reached a point whereby a revision of its brand aesthetic was key to its continuing success.

What did we do?2ergo approached us to ask for our help in refreshing and developing their brand. Cleverly, they had recognised that their brand identity could do with some Pixel8 polish and we were more than happy to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in!

Naming a brand, especially one that has an established reputation under a different and successful guise is a difficult process. It can be an emotional process and so a definite strategy is an absolute necessity. Seddon Property Services (as it was) has flourished under it previous mantle across its 30 nationwide offices, but as the parent company has restructured, they felt it necessary to move forwards with a whole new approach.

Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) run a mix of residential and roadshow courses for passionate, football crazy kids and youths aged 8-16 who want learn to ‘Play the United Way’ with the world best coaches in the current game. MUSS approached Pixel8 to create a short and snappy set of brand guidelines that would act as a handy reference guide for everyone involved in their marketing activity, covering assets such as imagery, headline copy and graphic elements for their year-round campaigns.

We produced every piece of marketing collateral for each of the five shopping centres. When we say ‘produced’ we mean conceived, designed and printed every piece for every agreed campaign. Each one of the campaigns was designed to target a different customer group. For example, children through the ‘Little Rascals’ membership club campaign or students through the ‘Freshers Week’ campaign.

The world’s largest under 15s football tournament is the joint brainchild of sporting giants Nike and Manchester United, and is appropriately named the ‘Manchester United Premier Cup’. With over 9000 world teams battling it out for just 20 final places and the chance to play at Old Trafford’s hallowed turf in the grand final. It is the perfect showcase platform for the world’s brightest young talent to shine. And for ourselves, it was a huge opportunity and real honour to be given the chance to create the tournament’s brand style.

So, how does one of the world's most successful football clubs guarantee that all of their coaches are able to teach to the same world class standard that the club demands? Well, it’s simple really, it’s all about working hard as a team and having the ability to work directly with the talented MUSS coaches, enabled us to design and create the MUSS grass roots football guidelines for them to use.

When we began our relationship we were all aware of the need to reconsider each piece of artwork collateral used in every hotel around the world.

At first glance, we actually quite liked the Woodhouse logotype, which is a good thing because we weren’t allowed to change it. However, we did make a strong case for making some minor spacing and alignment adjustments, altering the proportions of the logo in relation to other creative elements and making the important change of the colour from the harsh black to a rich, warm shade of brown.
