Logo Design and Branding for Sports Café by Pixel8

As part of our continuing work with the Manchester Sport and Leisure Trust, we were asked to put together designs for a new café to be situated next to the reception area within the Trust's office at Sportcity, Manchester. Here is a sample of the designs we proposed.

Starters Orders Logo and Brand

At the first stage of the process, we came up with several name options. Members of staff decided on 'Starters Orders' as it reflected sport and the location of the café.

Our brand development team created several logos, which went infront of the Trust's commity. This is he chosen logo that we feel has the star quality. We hope that Starters Orders will deliver the taste of success for years to come.

Starters Orders Uniform Design

Once the logo and brand had been established, we set to work on the staff uniform. We decided on a black and red colour co-ordinted uniform.

We designed and organised production of all items of uniform including; polo shirts, caps, aprons and pinnies. All items were embroidered with the Starters Order logo.

Everything was branded with the Starters Orders logo, including the confectionary bags.

We sourced the paper bags, and supplied the logo as spot colours, to keep consistancy across all printed material.

To add the final touches we were asked to organise the logo to be customely printed to all mugs and plates.

Decals of the design or logo are created which are then applied onto the mugs and plates. After several hours of curing, the mugs and plates are fired in a kiln. This process renders the decals completely permanent.

Starters Orders Menu Design

We designed the luxury menus to be placed on the counter area and tables.

Menu's were then printed full colour, as an A5 4pp, on a 250 gsm stock with a gloss laminate finish, which protected them from any spills. To finish, the logo was printed with a spot UV.

We produced a to-scale illustration of the Starters Orders counter.

The main logo was cut out of vinyl and applied to the wall. The front counter logo and stripes are made from acrylic, and the menu board was made from 5mm black foamex with vinyl letters.
