What did we do?
WWF has grown from modest beginnings into a truly global conservation organisation that has been instrumental in making the environment a matter of world concern. They’re best known for their efforts to protect iconic endangered wildlife like pandas and whales, but their remit goes far beyond that. In addition to funding and managing countless conservation projects throughout the world, WWF lobbies governments and policy-makers, conducts research, influences education policy, and works with business and industry to address global threats to our planet.
They approached Pixel8 to produce a number of innovative merchandising solutions to help them raise more money for the WWF cause.
What did we achieve?
First up, we created new packaging designs for their existing collection of 500 and 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles. They loved what we did and asked us to apply our creative flair to come up with a more modern approach to standard jigsaw packaging designs.
At Pixel8 we love a creative challenge, and it didn’t take us long to come up with a collection of jigsaw ‘Puzzlerz’ with swap cards inside for kids to collect, whilst learning about the planet’s most endangered animals.
We then looked at alternative options for junior (3-6 years) jigsaws. We developed 2 ‘pop-up’ concepts – the first a simple square box and the second a rectangular box with a rope handle. Based on a map of the world, both concepts allowed children to learn about our planet and its endangered species, by placing animals in the correct country and environment.
We also produced a collection of animal characters and illustrations which featured in a junior top trumps game which we named ‘WildCards - World’s Amazing Animal Card Game.’
We’re extremely proud of our work with this amazing organization, and happily, the client LOVED what we delivered. Job done!
