What did we do?

Warner Estate Holdings Plc manages almost £1.5 billion of property around the UK. The company chose us to provide complete design and marketing services for five of its North West shopping centres. The five shopping centres are: Market Place Shopping Centre, Bolton; Fishergate Shopping Centre, Preston; Middleton Shopping Centre, North Manchester and The Grange and Pyramids Shopping Centres, Birkenhead.

Our brief included the management of graphic design for both print and online, promotions, event management, advertising, PR, website redesigns and Facebook sites. The challenge was to develop marketing collateral that really stood out from the crowd.

In a competitive marketplace, the key was to cut through all the noise to create meaningful campaigns that caught the imagination of shoppers across the northwest. With marketing campaigns throughout the year and an ambitious mixed media plan, we took the mantle of capturing a shopper's imagination and ran with it.

What did we achieve?

We started with the redesign and redevelopment of each of the five shopping centre websites, creating a Facebook profile for each at the same time. We created nine campaigns per year for each of the five centres. A total of 45 that covered: Mother’s Day, Christmas, Autumn, the World Cup, Valentines Day, Halloween and more. Each was designed to appeal to a different target demographic.

As just one example of hundreds, the Christmas campaign required a fun element to amuse children. So, we created a character called ‘Elfis’. The children were handed a ‘Trail’ form with which they had to find Elfis hiding in various shops in the centre. Once the children had found all six Elfis characters, they won a sticker and some sweets. This event was a runaway success.  We also organised and co-ordinated each of the Santa’s Grotto events - a major attraction over the Christmas season. Each of the campaigns included press advertisements, bus advertising, banners, flyers, posters, competitions, character creation, live events, social media and point-of-sale promotions.

You name the marketing collateral and we can honestly say that we created it. We designed innovative marketing campaigns, combining traditional marketing with digital media, to create eye-catching and memorable messages that really hit home with families.
