What did we do?
Morleys are specialist suppliers of educational furniture, based in Oxfordshire. They offer an enormous range of furniture suitable for children of all ages, from early years to senior. They offer everything from school desks and chairs to staging and fun exercise equipment.
When Morleys first approached Pixel8, this long-established firm had a huge website which was bursting at the virtual seams with an abundance of product information. The trouble was, it wasn’t particularly well-organised or design-led, and the result was a site which was at risk of confusing and turning off its customers.
What did we achieve?
We have plenty of experience in helping to sort out websites that contain too much information, so we jumped in to help. First and foremost, we knew we needed to get organised, so we supported Morleys as they re-categorised and updated their product information, offering them tips on how best to do this.
We instigated a full design refresh, making improvements to all aspects of the site, most crucially the navigation. We worked hard to make sure that the search function was spot on, as this had previously been a bugbear of customers.
With the content sorted and a fresh new look and feel in place, it was time to turn our attention to the business side of things. An attractive website is all very well, but when you’re selling online, the whole process has to be seamless. We integrated the site with Morley’s payment gateway, SagePay, and ensured that all aspects of the e-commerce interface worked smoothly.
The client was thrilled with the outcome of the project, and we think the new website is great too. If the old site got a C for confusing, the new one surely gets an A for awesome!
