What did we do?
MediaCo Outdoor are the leading Manchester-based Out-of-Home advertising company specialising in roadside media. They sell large, high quality billboards designed to influence passing drivers and help leading brands connect with consumers when they are out and about.
As well as traditional billboards, they also offer innovative promotional solutions like digital billboards across the UK.
The company brand certainly needed that little bit of Pixel8 brand magic and we duly delivered a new brand logo that really changed the corporate face of the business. And for such a visually rich company, MediaCo Outdoor’s website wasn’t doing a great job of showcasing their own business. By using a combination of very dark blues and greys, combined with equally dark night time images, meant that the website just wasn’t doing much for their really cool media products and business image.
They approached Pixel8 for help in making their brand logo, website, and to make the business a much more engaging and manageable online proposition.
What did we achieve?
A beautiful new logo was delivered by our brand team. Using a rounded modern typeface and combining it with two complimentary colours, we were able to deliver a modern brand that truely represents a diverse advertising business at the forefront of digital roadside media.
We then completely revamped the website, ensuring there was plenty of white space to give the text and the images room to breathe. We lightened up the colour palette, introducing a lighter, more vibrant blue and balanced it perfectly with a paler shade of grey.
Next, we cleaned up the navigation, making key content easier for customers to find and by defining the media products through the use of colour and letter coding, we were able to deliver a simple solution using 6 key block within the website. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, we made a real feature of the imagery, showcasing some great shots of MediaCo Outdoor’s billboards and rich media.
In addition, we introduced a brand new gallery feature, which allows users to search or browse images by month, format, advertiser or product category. They can then scroll through some lovely images of advertising billboards and their locations, enlarge them and download their favourites for future reference.
In addition, we supported their social media efforts by designing a smart new social media icon for use on MediaCo Outdoor’s Twitter page.
The resulting website and social media icon suited MediaCo Outdoor down to the ground. We gave them a bright, attractive new space to showcase their wares to passing traffic – just like they do for their customers!
