What did we do?
BDi started life in 1998 as specialist suppliers of CCTV equipment, back in the 90’s they were called BDi CCTV. Since then, they’ve experienced huge growth and expanded their products and services accordingly. Nowadays, they do everything from installing electrics in new builds through to building security and cleaning.
They knocked on our door looking for a brand refresh. They had been established for some time but hadn’t updated their look and feel, and they were keen to make sure they stood out from the crowd. Other players in the market stuck to very plain branding, and weren’t design-led. BDi wanted to do things differently.
We retained their core colours of blue and red, but moved the brand on to achieve a more up-to-date look and feel. We introduced a new icon to the brand, and amended the logo to feature lower case letters, conveying their friendliness (they’re genuinely a lovely bunch and we wanted to portray this) and approachability as a business.
Once the new brand was established, we worked with BDi to incorporate it into a new website, and a range of external and internal marketing collateral.
What did we achieve?
We created a sparkling new brand for BDi which was bright, eye-catching and engaging. It gave them a fresher, more modern look that really sets them apart from others in their industry. We then refreshed their website, and used the opportunity to push BDi’s key messages and diverse service offering. We also added dynamic content such as their ‘tip of the month’ and a news section to create a more engaging site.
The cube motif we introduced as part of the new branding has been incorporated into key items such as business cards, letterheads, vehicle livery and sales collateral. We also worked with BDi on an internal newsletter, which updated all their staff on key company news and provided a fantastic opportunity to shine the spotlight on individual members of staff.
