What did we do?
We have an ongoing relationship with BBC Worldwide via their world-class archive sales department, BBC Motion Gallery (MG). With a mind-boggling 500 million feet of film and a million hours of award-winning footage, the BBC archives are officially the deepest in the world and the quality of content, as you can imagine, is absolutely unparalleled. From Blue Planet to Blue Peter and everything in-between, they encompass a wealth of content covering natural history, wildlife, news, locations, art, music, celebrities, culture, performing arts and more.
BBC Motion Gallery offers media professionals in advertising, commercials, television, film, interactive and corporate video production access to the world's most comprehensive collection of high-quality motion imagery for licensing worldwide. Despite this incredible offering, MG needed to enhance their relationship and awareness within the creative community. We were thrilled to bits to be asked to help out.
What did we achieve?
We initiated a new strapline and created a completely refreshed suite of rebranded email marketing templates. We created a multiple series of bespoke online marketing campaigns combining social media and email marketing that promotes the footage, which has appeared everywhere from school classrooms to Oscar-winning films.
We’ve built a successful relationship with one of the most ubiquitous organisations in the world that is recognised internationally as a world-class brand. The BBC name and logo are critical to sustaining this recognition and we handle both with due care. Two of the core BBC brand values are quality and integrity. As a consequence, providing concepts of a suitably high standard and protecting the BBC brand reputation was (and is) essential to us and the future success of the brand.
Our job was to provide a fresh, original and effective new approach to promote just how brilliant (in the true sense of the word) the BBC MG content and service truly is.
Our relationship has blossomed and as a testament to our success we’ve been asked to create email marketing and banner advertisements as part of a wider partnership with the BBC.
