Bargain Crazy

What did we do?

The team at Bargain Crazy approached us looking for a brand refresh. They had established their name, but required a whole new look and feel. Part of the Littlewoods umbrella, Bargain Crazy is the website that sells the surplus stock for the Shop Direct Group.

The premise of Bargain Crazy is that the customer will find big brands at little prices. They offer up to an 80% discount of the original catalogue price and sell everything from women’s fashion to menswear, childrenswear and homeware, all at clearance prices. Luckily, everyone here at Pixel8 absolutely loves a bargain!

What did we achieve?

Bargain Crazy is an exciting clearance brand.  The folks there wanted to know how, in an extremely competitive market place, do you set yourself apart from the crowd? 

We stripped the brand right back and created a clear and coherent proposition that shouts VALUE. To drive the message home, we created a new strapline (that also incorporates a nod to Littlewoods) ‘BIG BRANDS LITTLE PRICES’ and used the new logo icon (that we also designed) to house it. 

The logo was designed to be distinctive and instantly recognisable. The black, circular label with a subtle lime peel back was inspired by the stickers that are often placed on sale items to indicate a drop in price.

To ensure that Bargain Crazy is coherent we redesigned all of their email marketing templates so that the brand can be efficiently rolled out across all collateral. We redesigned the website, prescribing a totally new look. We selected new fonts, a new colour palette and tone of voice.

We achieved the required message, that the customer can acquire every item associated with Bargain Crazy at a low price.

We love working with fashion brands. We’re proud of our successful collaborations with Woodhouse, Virgin Ware, MUFC, Brown Bag and now Bargain Crazy to boot!
