Pixel8 Celebrate With Some of Manchester's Finest Sporting Heroes at the Manchester Sports Award
Integrating ourselves with local community is something that’s incredibly important to the entire team here at Pixel8, and as well as working alongside global brands, we love any chance to get down to grassroots and work on branding and marketing campaigns with local leisure businesses.
You may have heard about our recent #MCR2Rio campaign alongside Eastland’s Trust. It was put together to coincide with the Olympics and to help Manchester’s national sport centres raise awareness - and, of course, support the Olympians! You can find a case study on what we achieved here - we’ve even been nominated for a Chartered Institute of Marketing Award for our work.
Because we love working with sports and leisure brands, we decided to take ourselves along to the Manchester Sports Award, 2016. Held at the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate, we became an official sponsor of the event and gathered a group of Pixels to head on down for the night.
The event itself was filled with sporting talent and VIPS, including the Mayor of Manchester himself, and we had a fantastic night celebrating with some of the very best sporting legends and businesses in the North.
You may have even seen us present an award for Young Volunteer of The Year!
Iwan Thomas, one of Britain’s best 400-metre runners, and also Katherine Merry, an athletic champion who has been competing in world championships since she was 12, hosted the evening.
We were one of the three corporate sponsors of the event and, in case you were wondering, we’re the owners of that incredibly orange advert at the back of your programme for the evening! We had a lovely night as you can probably tell from our photos, and below you’ll find all of the categories, nominees, and winners that we’ve listed especially for you.
