Pixel8 2015 - The Best Bits
It’s been a great year here at pixel8.
We’ve completed some fantastic projects that we’re incredibly proud of, as well as welcoming new and seasoned clients alike with open arms.
In short, 2015 has been one of the best one's we've had yet.
So with that in mind, let's take a look back at what we achieved for a range of our clients including Business Growth Hub and the Double Tree by Hilton!
Business Growth Hub #LetsDoThisBGH Campaign
We knew that we were going to have to do something special for Manchester institution, Business Growth Hub.
The #LetsDoThisBGH integrated marketing campaign was a bundle of social, display advertising, press, SEO, and experiential advertising. We conceptualised the #LetsDoThisBGH strapline and the design and promotion flowed from there.
The strategy was designed around what would inspire local entrepreneurs, leaders, and all-round business greats to take a look at BGH and the wealth of services and funding they have available for businesses in Greater Manchester.
We achieved the following in only four weeks:
- 716 new Twitter followers (191 of which were influential users)
- 276,000 extra Twitter impressions than pre-campaign
- 19,036 additional LinkedIn impressions than pre-campaign
- Exceeded the retweet rate goal by 340%
- Made Let’s Do This Page the most shared page on the Business Growth Hub website
Silver Bay Holiday Village Integrated Marketing Campaign
Silver Bay Holiday Village tasked us with creating a fully integrated marketing strategy to boost revenue and also increase awareness of the brand amongst their target market.
Silver Bay needed a clever approach to make them instantly recognisable as one of the best places to holiday on the North Wales coast. We rolled up our sleeves and developed their website, refreshed the brand, and launched social media activity alongside some lovely complementary blogs and onsite content. We also threw photography, PR, and print in the mix too for good measure.
This is what we’ve achieved in just eleven months:
- A record year for lodge sales! Each lodge is worth over £200k!
- 2,225 Facebook fans from scratch
- 59% growth in overall website traffic
- 125% growth in organic traffic
- 61% growth in social traffic
- Visibility score increase for the website of 404%
- Now ranks first on Google for ‘lodges for sale in Anglesey’
DoubleTree by Hilton: #StarryNights Social Media Campaign Strategy
It was a pleasure to work alongside DoubleTree by Hilton and to be part of this summer’s #StarryNights campaign together with Luna Cinemas.
The pixel8 digital team formed a clear social media strategy for the DoubleTree social team to implement, focusing on KPIs which would increase social media engagement across all platforms as well as increase brand affinity with the ‘millennial traveller’ target audience.
We designed and created a fancy dress photo booth competition which was a particular highlight and encouraged 1546 audience members to participate - over 50% of which were dressed as minions!
The key achievements for the #StarryNights social campaign are as follows:
- 2,115,887 content impressions across all social media platforms
- 109,991 ‘#StarryNights’ impressions all social media platforms
- 3,723 content engagements across all social media platforms
- Pushed the DoubleTree Twitter account into the top 5% of Twitter accounts in the world based on Klout
Eastlands Trust (formally Manchester Sports and Leisure Trust) Rebrand
Previously known as Manchester Sports and Leisure Trust, Eastlands Trust came to us and asked us to create their new brand identity and essence.
It was important that we made their ‘Achieve More’ and ‘Helping Everyone Achieve More’ brand messages stand out, and it also had to be non sports specific so that even those spectating would benefit.
We decided to go for an orange identity to portray a bright, cheery and universally friendly feel to the brand, and we also went with the Manchester Borda font and adapted the ribbon device in the new logo.
We created over 100 pieces of artwork - and we also supplied them with fantastic brand guidelines to help keep it consistent in the future!
Cheadle Hulme School Website Design and Development
Cheadle Hulme School is one of the country’s leading independent schools - and needless, to say, we were both thrilled and honored when they came to us for their new website design.
The school had a lot of content on the website, and consistency was key when it came to the design layout. Yet the biggest issue we faced on the website was making sure the pages were linked together in a meaningful way for a variety of different users.
The website attracts everyone from teenagers through to adults, and after much hard work and deliberation we achieved a user-friendly, consistent layout for all visitors. Take a look for yourselves.
City and Guilds: Digital Asset Management Software
Here at pixel8, we’re good at the design, strategy, and creative, but we also make sure that our clients have a home to look after all their precious brand assets. We have developed our own digital asset management software known as BrandIt Global.
BrandIt Global has two functions. The StoreIt arm helps businesses to organise their digital files, and the brand asset management side enables businesses to create consistently excellent branded collateral quickly and easily.
City and Guild used our storage to keep their files in one place, and then they utilised our brand asset management templates to create consistent documents for over 16,000 courses!
Salford University Prospectus Design
Salford University wanted an international prospectus, and they chose pixel8 to help them achieve international branding success.
The copy was already in place, and what the University needed from us was a fantastic design. Our in-house creative genius Matt immediately set to work on this project, and the result was one of the most visually striking documents we've put together to date!
Hotter Shoes Brand Guidelines
Hotter shoes wanted to capture new audiences with their brand, and they required some excellent guidelines in order to do just that.
When they approached us, we knew we’d have to have to place a strong focus on figuring out how best to target their ideal audience of 50 years plus individuals. We put together some excellent guidelines that looked the part and are now integral to all branding projects withing the company.
Izziwotnot Email Marketing Strategy
When Izziwotnot first came to us, they had a wealth of website visits but not enough conversions. They wanted pixel8 to put in place a customer relationship management program to optimise conversion, and we decided to do this in the form of an email marketing campaign.
We provided a clear strategy alongside their other marketing plans, and we also created a 12-month marketing calendar to support the campaign.
