Following our award winning success refreshing the Hotel Indigo brand for IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) the world’s largest hotel group; Pixel8 were tasked with the overall refresh of the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand, which currently has 388 hotels open in 60 countries.

As part of this campaign Pixel8 are supplying all Crowne Plaza Hotels worldwide with new on-brand images for every piece of in house branding collateral. To assist the project we organised and managed a two week photo shoot at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manchester city centre; conveniently located just around the corner from our studios!

Pixel8 executed a global photo shoot in one location. We took over 20,000 photographs using amongst others, 15 models, 3 make-up artists, 2 Middle-East advisors (one of whom advises the United Nations), a food stylist, 2 art directors and 4 photography assistants.

The end result of the photoshoot will be a Pixel8 hosted and managed collateral builder. The images will be used in pre-design and on-brand templated artwork with pre-defined fields that can be accessed online and fully edited by the user to create on-brand and print ready high resolution PDF artwork. Crowne Plaza employees will be able to access the templates and create on-brand artwork from anywhere in the world in multiple languages; all were translated by Pixel8.

As Crowne Plaza Hotels are located across the Americas, Asia, Europe and the United Arab Emirates, Pixel8 needed to provide imagery that is relevant and appealing to each region. So, we employed models of appropriate ethnicity and created photographs that are sensitive to indigenous customs around the world, recognizing religious differences and using appropriate dress. We employed specialist stylists and advisors to ensure respectful and accurate representation throughout the campaign.

The two week photo shoot drew to a close with a day filming offsite to provide all the leisure imagery such as swimming pools, gyms and golf courses. Cue lots of excuses for the Pixel8 team to speed around the course in the golf buggies!

Warner Estate Holdings Plc., which manages almost £1.5 billion of property around the UK, has appointed Pixel8 in Manchester to provide complete design and marketing services for five of its North West shopping centres.

The Manchester design and marketing agency’s brief includes managing graphic design for both print and online, promotions, event management, advertising, PR,  website redesigns and Facebook sites.

The five shopping centres Pixel8 will be working with are Market Place Shopping Centre, Bolton, Fishergate Shopping Centre, Preston, Middleton Shopping Centre, North Manchester and The Grange and Pyramids Shopping Centres in Birkenhead, Wirral. Pixel8 will report to Jennifer Morris, Group Marketing Manager at Warner Estate Holdings Plc.

Pixel8 has already recruited a retail marketing manager to work across the five centres, has launched an Autumn fashion campaign, and redesigned and redeveloped the five shopping centre websites, and deployed a Facebook site for each shopping centre.

Pixel8’s joint MD Jamie Watson, who formerly held marketing roles with both Sainsbury’s and Iceland, said, “This is a particularly exciting win as it allows me to get back to my roots in retail.

“Given the tough environment, it’s an exciting time to get involved. There’s lots of uncertainty given the increase in VAT from January, but we relish the challenge and look forward to driving both footfall and spend in the centres.

“We are looking forward to bringing a new creativity and focus to the centres’ marketing strategy in the run up to Christmas”.

Manchester design and marketing agency Pixel8, has produced two new online interactive multimedia page turning brochures for 2ergo, the global provider of mobile enabling technologies for mobile marketing, mobile CRM, mobile entertainment and media.

Multimedia page turning brochures, otherwise known as e-brochures or interactive digital editions, are providing 2ergo with a new interactive platform to promote their services. The interactive brochures are hosted online for easy distribution via email and instant access; and they’re so more flexible than emailing large PDF files.

All the graphic designs in both interactive brochures were designed by Pixel8.

The retail online interactive brochure uses video footage, music and flash animation. The video content includes detailed information about the 2ergo iPhone and Smartphone apps for the Guardian and for Rightmove.

The future mobile technology interactive brochure covers interactive messaging, mobile internet publishing and content management, Smartphone application development, mobile ticketing, coupons, customer loyalty solutions and mobile security.

Pixel8 also printed offline versions of both the new brochures in full colour, as part of a range of graphic design work currently in production for 2ergo.

The Lifestyle Blind company came back to Pixel8 to keep their recently re-designed website up to date, refreshing their website banners to maintain a constant stream of monthly offers.

With the new style, the web design team at Pixel8 designed a banner that not only looked fresh and modern, but was also functional and informative. The client needed a quick turnaround on this job so every effort was made to ensure that the artwork was delivered ontime. One E deliver bespoke tax strategies. They approached us this week to design and produce two corporate presentations, one for ASPIS and one for NRT.

We designed each slide in Adobe Illustrator and presented One E with a storyboard of the presentation. This was then brought to life using Adobe Flash, giving a seamless, professional presentation.

Überbloc required an animated corporate presentation to sell their services which delivers a more professional experience than corporate Powerpoint presentations.

We designed each slide in Adobe Illustrator and presented them as a storyboard to get the initial sign off. We then used Adobe Flash to create the presentation with smooth transitions and simple navigation.
