New Title and Meta Tags were implemented onto 17 pages within a week, and then a related-content link building process began.

Google indexed the SEO updates to the BDI Home Finders website within a week. Since then the website has achieved No. 1 and top 5 Google listings for a wider variety of targeted keywords and phases. On 1^st. June 2009 the search engine optimisation (SEO) specialists at Pixel8 in Manchester started providing SEO services for the Manchester Sport and Leisure Trust website. The Trust manages nineteen sports facilities and leisure centres in Manchester including the world-class Manchester Aquatics Centre.

On 8^th. July 2009 visitors to the website reached an all time high.

Google visitors to the Trusts’ website from April 18 to May 31 totalled 4,557
Google visitors to the Trusts’ website from June 1 to July 14 totalled 8,687

The white-hat (ethical) SEO strategies that Pixel8’s SEO team implemented also increased visitors to the Trusts’ website from Yahoo! natural search by 65.62%, and AOL organic visitors increased by 165.52%.

The purpose of the initial SEO campaign was to increase the number of visitors to the Swimming, Gym and Membership sections of the Trusts’ website.

For the period June 14 – July 14 compared to May 14 – June 13:

Visitors to the Swimming Lessons page were up by 155.76%

Visitors to the Swim Free page were up by 40.04%

Visitors to the Swimming Activities page were up by 22.53%

Visitors to the Gyms page were up by 13.32%

Visitors to the Memberships page were up by 62.45%

The housing association Eastlands Homes asked the exhibition stand design team at Pixel8 for a quick turnaround to design and print two pull-up exhibition stand banners. The banner stands were needed for upcoming marketing events to be held at 3 of their offices located around the Manchester area. For our professional in-house exhibition design team this was right up their street!

Using our large format printer, we produced 3 of each design, each measuring a standard 800mm x 2000mm, and covered in a scratch resistant crystal laminate for added protection. The whole process – from design to print – was completed within a few days!

Shortly after this our graphic design team also produced an A4 advert for a national housing magazine.

Pixel8 recently received sign off for the Starters Orders logo design, a new canteen area to be situated within the National Squash Centre in Manchester. It is currently an ‘njoy’ café, but the Manchester Sport and Leisure Trust wanted new branding for the café in order to fit in with it’s sporty surroundings.

Our logo designers initially provided the Trust with several different options for the logo design, as well as colour options and supporting strap lines. This was then narrowed down to two choices until the final logo was selected. From here we have produced a number of visuals to develop the brand, including how we envisage the café to look, Point of Sale (POS) graphics, menu boards, uniforms, right down to the little touches such as napkins and mugs.

Building work is currently taking place but we’ll keep you up to date with all developments.

Following on from our calendar design work with Danilo in producing the Manchester United 2010 range, the Pixel8 graphic design team were asked to design the Lucy Pinder 2010 Calendar. Well, we jumped at the chance!!

Images of Lucy were supplied to us for the calendar, and we came up with the overall look and feel for the 12 pages. The calendar is to be printed and on the shop shelves in time for Christmas 2009.
