The Pixels wave goodbye to designer, Jon Massey!
Our creative designer and cake baking extraordinaire, Jon Massey, is leaving the building! Although we’re sorry to see our Jon leave, we’re over the moon for his exciting new opportunity at the Beeb where he’ll be looking after the design for BBC Sport.
Jon has been an absolute joy to have on the team. His achievements are second to none – not only has he bagged a ton of awards for pixel8 but he’s even being featured on the cover of The Drum to boot!

We’ll miss the ‘Massey Magic’ and seeing his creative concepts come to life. A personal project Jon is working on at the moment is ‘Moleskine Manchester’ where he is encouraging the people of Manchester to contribute their doodles in a shared Moleskine book. Keep an eye out for this one; we reckon it’s going to be HUGE.
One of Jon’s personal highlights of working at pixel8 was when he mentored a young dude called Michael as part of the Prince’s Trust. Jon took Michael under his wing and showed him the world of design and agency life. Both found the experience incredibly rewarding.
Thank you, Jon, you’ve been a true gem – good luck at the BBC but remember, ‘Once a pixel, always a pixel...
