The Pixel8 Design and Marketing Agency in Manchester was founded as a private company in 1999.

Today Pixel8 offers a complete range of online marketing and print advertising solutions.

After graduating from University, Nigel Daws (our senior graphic designer) embarked on a career in graphic design. Wanting a challenge he answered a small ad in the local newspaper for a graphic designer at a football club. Arriving by moped he had no idea that the club was Manchester United! After introducing the Apple Mac to Manchester United, Nigel was integral in creating much of the merchandising that, to this day, is sold to millions of fans worldwide.

Pixel8 was bourn from a desire to create bespoke design solutions for all, bringing great design to a wide cross section of businesses. For eight years, Nigel built a client base consisting of well known brands, not for profit businesses and SME’s.

Meanwhile, Jamie Watson (our account director) was busy working in the retail sector. At the age of three, he was given his first overalls and put to work in the family greengrocers. Zipping forward to focussing on marketing strategy at University with a stint in the United States, he was hired by Iceland Stores where he worked for a member of the main board eventually ending corporate life as a marketing manager at Sainsbury’s supermarkets. Jamie then left to help with the family business (you can take the boy out of the shop....) and started working with Nigel Daws on a consultancy basis, supporting Pixel8 on commercial matters.

Nigel and Jamie joined forces late in 2007 and the rest, as they say, is history.

Pixel8 is now one of the fastest growing design and marketing agencies in Manchester and indeed the UK. From global brands to local niche companies we offer a full range of digital marketing and traditional media design services.
